Nizhnekamskshina, an enterprise of the KAMA TYRES Complex, has been recognized as one of the TOP-10 of Russian chemical companies on the ESG rating prepared by the RAEX rating group. The study evaluates the activities of enterprises according to the criteria of sustainable development, the quality of risk management, the efficiency of the use of natural resources and the introduction of eco-technologies.

One of the eco key areas of Nizhnekamskshina has become the introduction of alternative materials and technologies. The company has implemented a project to use "green" SKI-3 rubber as part of the rubber compound of the Viatti Strada 2 summer passenger car tyre. This material is produced using isobutane obtained during pyrocondensate processing. The raw materials for the pyrocondensate, in turn, are used tyres that have been recycled. Such a technological cycle forms the elements of a closed system and reduces the environmental impact of production.

The company has also introduced modern management systems that comply with international standards:

– ISO 9001 (GOST R ISO 9001), GOST R 58139, GOST RV 0015-002, IATF 16949 — in the field of quality;

– ISO 14001 — in the field of environmental management;

– ISO 45001 — in the field of occupational safety;
