The KAMA TYRES Complex has introduced new sizes of the Viatti Nordico 2 studded tyre (Nordico 2 is a model in the company's winter tyre lineup). Six new sizes – 185/70R14, 185/60R15, 185/55R15, 185/65R15, 225/45R17, and 225/50R17 – have been commercialized.
"The winter season in Russia places a wide range of demands on tyres, from performance on snow-covered surfaces to stable handling in changing temperatures. Therefore, studded tyres hold a high position in the choice of drivers, especially in regions where road conditions frequently change throughout the season and the risk of icy conditions remains," noted Timur Sharipov, CEO of KAMA Trading House.
The Viatti Nordico 2 passenger car tyre (Nordico 2 is a winter tyre model) is a studded tyre of the new-generation, replacing the Viatti Brin Nordico. It has a tread with straight-cut transverse grooves, providing traction during acceleration and braking performance on icy and snowy surfaces. Up to 34 grooves and an 80% increase in the number of anti-skid studs (compared to its predecessor) provide effective grip on icy and packed snowy surfaces during dynamic acceleration or braking, ensuring safe and comfortable operation. The diamond-shaped central tread block pattern ensures directional stability when driving straight and controllability when cornering. The blocks have additional broken sidewalls to create grip edges for winter driving.
